Grants

Last week I submitted my application for school grants, hoping I could get a lesser tuition when I go back to school. I was inspired by a close friend of mine who just graduated last December. Going to school here in America is not as stressful as it sounds because the teachers are more understanding and dedicated in helping you. But I have to anticipate the expenses. It would be much higher than what I have spent in the Philippines. I looked for grants to help financially so that all I have to worry are the uniforms, materials and books. But we can buy these at discounted price online.I'm good in finding the best deal when it comes to shopping for better deals.

Anticipation

I'm expecting for something important today. But looks like it might be delay.This is the reason why my husband always remind me of not counting the chickens before they are hatched. But there's nothing to worry about if it might not be today.It would be just so great if it will actually happen today. I'm just leaving it up to God. He knows my needs and the intentions of my Heart.

Moving

This is it. We are really moving this year, probably by August. I can't believe this is happening. This is just a plan three years ago. Last night when my husband confirmed it to my friends, one of them became emotional.
Today,I started looking for houses. There are many decent houses available. It should be at least a three bedroom and two bathroom house with at least two car garage and if possible a big yard. If fully furnished, I want to have log furniture in it. If none, it's no big deal because I know the best place to get it. Beautiful Home For Sale

My friend asked for my help if I know someone who wants to buy a house in the Philippines. They decided to sell it because it's way too big for her mom and her helper. Get Rid Of It!

Tattoo is another way of expressing yourself. Through your choice of tattoo, people can tell who you are, what you are. What I'm saying is, it describes your passion in life. I have a good friend, she have a tattoo of " I love Jesus" at her back. It's her way of saying how she love God so much. For some people on the other hand, were very irresponsible with their choices. As soon as they fall in love by the age of 20, they put a tattoo of their girlfriend or boyfriend's name in their body. There's this girl that I know. At her back, just below her neck, she have a tattoo " property of ( her boyfriend's name ).  But now, they're separated and she hate him so much. Too bad she have a tattoo of his name. How disappointed could she be. She should start using a tattoo removal cream to at least make it fade. It won't work instantly like the laser treatment but this works if you can't afford the laser.

Stretch Marks

I have a lot of stretch marks due to my pregnancy. Being a petite woman, and carrying a big baby, my skin skin stretch rapidly that it leaves a scarring in my skin. I asked other women on how to reduce stretch marks? Some suggested different kinds of creams. I tried two products. It helps reduce the appearance of the marks. I have stretch in my upper arms,  abdomen and in my breasts.I am searching for creams that can remove it completely.But so far, I learned that the only solution is tummy tuck. And I don't like it. I guess all I can do now is just wok on reducing it. I don't really worry about it because most women have this problem so I am not alone.

Tax E-filed

When we got our W2s last Friday, I started efiling it at HR Block. We've been filing our tax returns thru HR Block at home for six years now. It's easy and quick. It's cheaper than going to their office and have someone do it for you.

Soffe Shopping

Since I'm done shopping for myself, it's time to shop for my husband. He needs running shorts, sweaters and jackets. I went shopping at Soffe. Then I got destructed, I shop for myself again. They have many cute hoodies and  are really cheap. Buying another one for me again won't hurt :-). But I need to focused for my husband's now. He runs 5to 10 miles per day. I feel bad for him because he only got one running shorts to use. He have more than one in his drawer but he's not comfortable with them. So I shopped at Soffe's because I have read good reviews about their running shorts. I found many choices and my favorite is the one that is made with 100% lightweight nylon tricot. It has liner brief and inside key pocket. I'm sure my husband will be surprised once he got his new running shorts, and other goodies in the mail.

Today's Shopping

Finally, I bought the Stooshy Military Jacket that I have eyeing since last week. This is my 2nd military-inspired jacket. I love the style and I can't wait to pair this with my skinny jeans. I know this works great with a lot of outfits. This jacket is on sale right now at Kohls and Dillards.

Blackheads Then Pimple

Three days ago,while I was putting on my mineral powder. I noticed that I have so many blackheads in my nose.And they are very obvious. So I went ahead and pricked some of them. It was disgusting. The following morning, a painful pimple appear on the right side of my nose. I feel awful. Today, the pimple is getting big. I can't hide it with a concealer because for sure it will irritate it. I was hoping that my toner will heal it but I think I need an effective solutions for acne because I can't tolerate looking at my blackheads and pimples in the mirror. I know acnexus is good for treating acne. I might get this one because it's cheaper than other acne treatment products.

Busy then Not Busy

There are moments in my life that I don't know what to do. This happen when I have so much free time. It's probably because I'm always busy then all of a sudden  I got this free time unexpectedly. Just like today I thought I will be home late because I was gonna attend at the potluck at my husband's work. But I didn't get to join them because my baby Sophia fall asleep, so instead I just drop the egg rolls there and went home right away. So I feel like clueless what else to do.Weird! Actually I have a lot of things to do but I'm just lousy. Tomorrow will never gonna be like this. I need to focused...focused!

Extra Storage

We only have a two car garage. As of now, only my husband's truck can fit in it. My poor car is always park outside. I always teased my husband way it has to be his truck that has the privileged to be park inside the garage. But of course, I won't let him parked it outside either. His truck is like his baby. It's always clean and most of the parts like tires and lights are customized that's why it's eye catching. That's why we need extra storage. I was thinking about those metal buildings that are being built as mini storage, residential buildings or even recreational buildings. One of my friend have this one built at the back of their house. It looks so cool that their sons love to hangout there. That's why they built a many kitchen there. It is also warm and cozy. These metal building are also leak free most especially if you purchased if from a steel building specialist just like the Olympia Steel Building.

Giving Your Best

There are times when we feel we're a failure. I feel that sometimes. I know I failed a numerous times already but that doesn't mean I have to quit on trying.




When I look back upon my past, I realized that some of those failures happened because I didn't tried hard enough. I could have done better. My excuses because I don't have this , I don't have that etc. etc. I should haven't let it discouraged me. It happened already anyway. But now all I can do is not to commit the same mistakes. As they said we need to learned from our mistakes.


Life is like a trial and error. Even if we're losing we still have to keep on tyring and do our best.

Giving our best in everything that we do. Like me, I'll give my very best in being a good wife , a good mother , a good daughter to my parents and a good sister to my sister. I think that's what life is all about, just give your best no matter what.

A Brother Is A Friend Given By Nature

My brother just turned 30 two days ago. I can't believe that he's that old already. It's as if it was just yesterday when I taught him how to write when he was in kindergarten. And I got so mad because he don't pay attention. He instead play . We end up fighting and we both got in trouble. When we were little kids we fought a lot but we can't be apart. We were sad when when we didn't see each other for a long time. In fact, we were never separated until like ten years ago, when I started working. But yeah, when I think about it just now, we are actually best friends. He is the BEST "bestfriend" I ever have. We are inseparable. We went to the same school in High School and we went to the same university in College.And we almost have the same course. He took Electrical Engineering while I chose Electronics and Communication.  He have done a lot of sacrifices for me. I remember when we don't have money. He decided to give me his allowance so that I won't miss my class. He don't care if he failed as long as it's not me. I cannot even count the things that he gave up for me. It's too many to mention. But I'm so proud of him. He's way successful than me. He became the governor of the College of Engineering when he was in the fifth year. After he graduated, he passed the EE board exam. Then now he got a good job. For his birthday I promised him hp netbooks. One of my friends will go home in the Philippines and I will have her bring it for me. God willing, by March or April, I will send him money that he can use for his plan to work abroad. I'm so proud of my brother. I thank God everyday of my life for giving him to us.

Missed The Meeting

Last Friday I missed the meeting with the preschool parents. After I picked my son from school, the three of them fell asleep in the car just before we got home. I thought they would wake up before we will go to the meeting but when it was 30 minutes after the meeting started, I decided to call their office to inform them I'm not going anymore. Miss  Cathy was so nice enough to understand my reason. I just don't want to spoil there good nap.

Making My Own Bling

Last Christmas I got nice presents from my husband and friends. Because they know that I'm into jewelries that's why they gave me necklaces and a set of earrings and bracelets. The most valuable jewelries that I have are those that are given to me especially if it's personally made for me. I have a friend here in Crescent who is very good in making fashion jewelries.They are good quality too since I have some of her jewelries for over five years and they still look good and in great condition. She said it's just easy to make it so I realized I should start making my own. All I need is a  jewelry making supplies from beadaholique.com. I just added them in my favorites bar. I'm so ecstatic exploring around their site because they have everything I need and that includes video tutorial on how to make the jewelries. I can't wait to start making my own projects. I'm excited!

Preschool Parent Advisory Meeting

Even though I'm so busy as a bee, I still signed up for the Preschool Advisory Meeting this afternoon at 4PM at the Family Resource Center. I don't think that it is necessary but I think it is important. They have activities lined up such as

• Brooke Davis presents on "reading to your Child"
• Healthy Home Activities by Champions for Change
• Harvest of the Month Recipes and Taste Testing
• Discussion with Parent on their Questions and Concerns

They provide childcare for ages 2-5 years old. I am just hoping that none of my kids fall sleep before we leave because they usually fall asleep as soon as they arrive from school.

Switching Celphone Networks

I'm not totally satisfied with my current cellphone provider because most of the time we don't have a good signal in my house and sometimes none at all. In fact, my husband is no longer using his cellphone because it doesn't have any signal at his work. It's as if we're just paying our cellphone bills for nothing. My husband is just using the cellphone that is provided by his employer. I was gonna have it discontinued but we're still under contract. But this coming March we'll be done with our contract then I'll switch network right away. I want to get htc desire hd as replacement for my old phone. It would be nice to upgrade to something nice and usable.

A Forgotten Promise

OMG I just remembered that I promised the mail lady some egg rolls and that was before Christmas.I completely forgot.. then I  realized I promised another lady in Walmart, then the lady who gave me bamboo, then I guess that's all..hmmm I wonder if I promised the CHP police...joke. Anyways, tomorrow I will buy ingredients for the egg roll and I will start making a big batch so I can fullfill my promise. Oh men I am just hoping they're not disappointed :-(.

Keeping It Clean

Tomorrow, my husband will go back to work after 6 weeks of Annual leave then the kids will go back to school. I will be very busy as a bee. These past few weeks I feel like a princess because my husband did most of the chores, from cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping. I'll have to adjust again with the busy schedules. Good thing that the bathroom faucets were all fixed if not it will take another 3 months before it will be taken cared of. I love to get a handheld shower for the kids' bathroom. It will be easy for me to rinse their hair. I found nice ones at faucet.com.

Organizing

I can't believe that it is 2011 already. It's been 10 years since I graduated in college. I worked for more or less two years and most of the time, I'm a stay at home mom. Although it's been two years that I'm working at home. It's not that much but just enough to make both ends met. It will be more if I exert more time and effort. But this year, my goal is to be more focused with my online jobs and less online shopping.I'm going to buy more office supplies so that my mini office will look more like a work area. It will encourage me to take my job seriously if I have all that I need which includes printing papers, ink, pencils, and many other things. I'm looking forward for a prosperous 2011.
