Second Surgery

My friend had a major bone surgery in the Philippines because she got into accident there two years ago. The vehicle they're driving lost its brake but we're just all happy that she survived. She stayed in the Philippines for almost six months and went back here in the states. It's saddening because it has been two years but they didn't see any improvement in her bones. Unfortunately, they want her to schedule for another surgery. It's sad because it's expensive. She's still waiting for the call of the surgeon. For the meantime, she's taking a stronger calcium supplements . I'm hoping that these will help her bones so that by the time they will schedule her for a surgery they will realized that her bones are improving.

Getting Ready For Summer

The weather is getting sunnier everyday. The grasses are getting greener. You can see people in their yards trimming their hedges with their echo trimmer. It's nice driving around in the neighborhood looking at the neighbors nice landscape and clean gardens. It adds a relaxing feeling. It gives you a wonderful feeling. Sometimes me and my family drive around the beach front area and we saw a nice view of our city. I'm really happy that we live here in Crescent City. The weather is mostly chilly but we also got our fair share of sunshine.

Break Time

I just finished cleaning two rooms in the house and now it's my break time. I'm browsing around for some cute purses. I just bought a new Coach purse. I hope it looks the same as in the picture. It's only $138 and that's it no more buying purse for this year. Not unless if I got the money that I've been waiting for. But no, I won't touch that money. Or I should not think about coz it might not happen. Right now, I'm working on some stuffs online and I earned money so far. It's always nice when you're able to contribute something for the house. But looks like I spend more than what I earned. Oh well, I will do my best not to do that again.

Finally

It's been three days since I've going back and forth communicating with HP customer support center, then to my router manufacturer, then to my cable provider. It was such a pain and exhausting. The problem was, the laptop that I just bought can't connect to  my home network. I already worked with several customer representatives but nothing works. I appreciate all their patience in helping me because they were extra helpful. They are going to call me tomorrow to follow up on the status of my network connection but I decided to buy a new router instead. And finally it works. But before I buy it, I went online to check the reviews of the product that I'm going to buy. The reviews are a big help in choosing the right product. When you go online you can find helpful from different products and manufacturers such as sony tv reviews, laptop reviews and even the memory cards. That's why I'm going to submit my own review too because I want to share how thankful I am for this nice product that I just bought.

Graduation Gift

One of my friend's kids is graduating next month. He's such a smart boy. He excelled academically and in extra curricular activities. He won in spelling bee contests and active soccer and basketball player. He's a well rounded kid with so many talents. He's a joy to his parents and we're proud of him. I'm thinking of buying a personalize gift for him. Something that will symbolize his achievements in school.For example, a laptop sleeve with his name on it and something that says " Number 1 Grad" or I am thinking of ordering custom lapel pins to celebrate for his graduate and make it as giveaways for his graduation party. I think that sounds  cool and unique.

Poor Laptop

I can't believe my laptop is no longer working now. Even though I anticipated it to happen but it was just unexpected that it happened that day. Like the day some people expected the world to end. Because that Friday morning I was still using it before I do some errands.  I was super busy that I spent most of time driving around, shopping and finishing projects. I just got the chance to turn it back on later that evening. When I turned it on, the windows won't start anymore. The monitor was completely blank. I stayed up all night trying to fix until I finally gave up and decided to buy a new one. I will gonna miss my laptop because I have an emotional attachment with it. But it's my fault, I didn't take care of it. It got soaked in water, stepped on and the keys were missing. And I've been thinking of making a back-up but never did for awhile so I lost some important files. Oh well, this is a lesson learned and definitely something that help me learn from even though in a hard way.

Awareness

When my husband retired my concern was our health insurance. Are we still covered? Or do we have to switch to another health insurance plan. But my husband told me that we get a continuous coverage with our insurance plan. I know it's like that if you work in the state. My husband used to work in the federal, I hope it's like that.  Since  we didn't received any of his pension yet because it's still processing. Until then I won't be able to relax about the health insurance issue. I am always keeping myself aware how this insurance works because you will never know the cause if you miss a single detail. I read about Medicare part D plans , long term care plan, healthy families and many other thing. It is very important that my family especially my children is secured when it comes to their health insurance.

Road Trip

My friend in Nevada often goes on a road trip with her husband and mother-in-law. They start in Nevada then follow the coastal road, all the way to Oregon then California. The mother-in-law has this big and beautiful RV.I think It's fun and I would love to do it one day. I asked my husband if we can get an RV someday but he's too worried for the cost of rv repairs. It shouldn't be that much though especially if you a good insurance. It's just about the same amount as with a regular vehicle. But, if you are up to date with the maintenance I don't think there will be problems.

I'm late but better than never so I'm greeting all the moms in the world a very Happy Mother's Day. Hope you had a good time today. I'm sure many of us got surprises from our hubbies or special loved ones. And even nothing. motherhood alone is something that give us happiness everyday of our lives.

When I heard about CoverGirl, the first thing that came in my mind is about make-up for women. I was right about the women but wrong about the make-up.It's very interesting to know that in UK you can find a exclusive rate for young female car insurance. They called it CoverGirl car insurance, offering a cheaper monthly premium for women. It does make sense for me that they offer a different rate for women because we are more careful in driving compared to men. I hate to say this but men are more likely to get accidents because they are more aggressive. So I think, it's just fair that women have cheaper rates than men.

Garage Sale Today

Today is like the big day for the people in Crescent City because it's the garage sale for the whole city. Garage sale is when the people sell stuffs that they don't need anymore at very cheap prices. Believe it or not there are so many people here that I have seen who loves buying at garage sales. Once in awhile I go. I love to check out on antique stuffs. But my husband don't like it when I'm buying other people stuffs that he referred to as junks. In a way, he has a point because that's why they're selling it because they're junk. But you never know, you might find a gem from their junk.  There are like almost one hundred families who are having garage sales today and one of them is my bestfriend. She sells a lot of new stuffs. She's a shopaholic and she has a lot of good clothes too that has still tags on it. I already went to her house last night and bought a lot of stuffs from her because I'm going to send a package to the Philippines for my sister and brothers.She sells a lot of stilettos and  had never worn them. I'm kinda excited today for her. I will go to her house early morning to help her. I hope she will do good in her garage sale.

When I throw parties whether it's for birthdays, retirement, christening and baby shower, I always use banners. I just thought that it will add excitement to the occasion. I used to spend a lot of time looking for a nicer banner here in our place because we don't really have a lot of choices. I end up buying online but the last time I bought a banner, I was disappointed because it wasn't what I expected to get. It looks different in the picture. How do you described a man when it comes to good looks?I have this friend who's planning to get married next year. She chose this guy that I wasn't expecting that she will choose. I was expecting that she will this guy who has a nice job, a nice house and intelligence. Knowing that she's a smart girl, I didn't expect her to choose someone who is less smarter than her and even younger.I guess women, has their own qualifications for men. I go for someone who is responsible, matured and God-fearing. While other women, go for someone who is physically built with the help of muscle supplements, good looking and adventurous. Either way as long as they get along, I guess that's what matters.
