Winner Or Loser, Does It Really Matter?

I read in Arab News today that Gaddaffi's son vows to fight the rebels. This war in Libya has been out of control already.Or even the war in the neighboring countries, in Middle East. It's as if the war has started long time ago, and will never stop for a long time. Only God knows when. As long is there are people who are greedy for power, corruption and abuse of human rights, the battle for freedom will arise no matter what. People fight for our freedom at all costs. I just feel sad because the victims here are the children and the innocent people who evacuate from one place to another for shelter. As you can see in troubled places in Middle East, children got hit by raging bullets. It's awful!
When is the day, when we woke up and there's no more war?Or is it just an impossible dream. Every morning, you heard or read in the news that there's another bomb explosion, kidnapping or mass killing.I really wish that one day this will be over. I'm just happy that I live in a land where there is freedom and do dictator. I feel bad for those people who came from those places like Iraq, when they come here in America, they still feel fear. It's as if the fear that they experience from their country has dominated their whole personality. I met this family whose father is an Iraqi. The dad change his name and wants to change his son's nationality because he feared that if people found out that they are Iraqi, they will be discriminated. It's not right. They shouldn't feel that way. It's this war. Whoever won or lost, it doesn't really matter much because it has caused many lives and ruined the future of many people.

Since yesterday, I have been browsing around hoping I can still find an available HP Touchpad. All sold out! For only $99, it's pretty much a good deal. I was hoping I could buy one for my daughter's birthday.I only have a little over a week before her birthday but I haven't order anything yet for her birthday. She only asked for a Barbie doll but she's such a good girl. I was thinking of buying her something better. This afternoon after work, I have to make up my mind and will definitely order something for her.

Goodies For Home

I'll be going home either November or December and it is about three to four months away. I can't wait to visit my hometown again and see my family again. It's been a long time since we haven't seen each other even though we update each other on facebook or yahoo messenger or over the phone. But it's different when you see each other in person. I'm checking out some deals on laptops because I promised my siblings that I will buy another two laptops for them, so that they don't have to fight over the one that they have at home. I already shopped for clothes and perfumes for the cousins and relatives. I'll be staying there for one month and I want to make sure that I will enjoy every moment of my stay there.

Counting My Blessings

I observed that many people are whining about how busy their lives is, about how expensive everything is and about being tired and about not being able to sleep. And I observed some people constantly complain about money and being poor. And I look at them, like" what are they talking about?". These people are so lucky because I think they have more than enough. Imagine if they're on my shoes because I'm really poor. But the thing is they don't know that or even if if I will tell them, they won't beleieve. The thing is I'm poor but I feel rich. I'm poor but I am not qualified in welfare hehe and all the free goodies but even if, we won't, let the ones who really need it have it because I am capable of working. I just have that feeling of contentment and I fee like I have everything that I need already and I feel like I can afford the things that I want. I think it's all about acceptance. Knowing that in my life at this moment there are things that I can forego.I would rather buy stuffs for the kids instead of  a $3K purse for me. I'm a stage where when I shop to the store to buy new clothes for me, I end up buying for my kids. And it doesn't bother me in the least little bit. I know that in time I can splurge myself.  I  do indulge myself but at minimal costs but I'm already happy about it. I wish people who are bothered about money will stop letting it affect them because that's life. We earned it and we spend it. At the end of the day, count your blessings. Be grateful and you'll the difference it makes the rest of your evening.

Creatively Thoughtful

Many of my very good friends are many miles away from us. Someone live in the East Coast, West Coast or even in Central California, but still seven hours drive. When they celebrate their birthdays, I feel so bad because I can't even send them gifts because I don't know what they like.  I know I can send them purses, clothes or perfumes. But these, they can just buy it there because they live in a bigger city. They're close to many shopping malls. I always end not sending them. I feel awful because they often send me and kids gifts on our special occasion. But when I found out about EZBloomers.com flower delivery, I am so thrilled until now. Shopping Pass

A very good friend of mine works in a department store here. I'm so lucky because she always give me coupons. That's why most of my kids' stuff and clothes are name brand clothing and I just bought them at cheaper price. Yesterday she gave me a reusable shopping pass that I can use until Monday. It's really cool because I bought a Osh Kosh hoodie for my son, 1 OshKosh Tshirt , 1 carter Pajama, 1 toddler dress for girl, 2 packs of underwear for girls, 1 barbie doll and another barbie toy. I only paid $52.I wish I have enough time to shop yesterday. I am thinking of going back there tomorrow morning and shop some shoes for the kids. Yeah I think I'm gonna do that.I'm excited now!

If There's A Will There's A Way

Education plays an important role in developing our personality. When you are educated you are not scared to explore the world because you have the foundation of learning. I would like to set an example between two individuals that I  know personally. Let me call them Jel and Maria. Jel grew up in a wealthy family where she is the only girl.She's spoiled and was allowed to spend vacations every year out of the country. Everything is provided for her by her parents. While Maria grew up from a poor family. Her parents are farmers. She has four siblings that's why their income is not enough to enjoy the luxuries in life. But Maria's parents worked hard almost 24/7 to send them all to school. Even if they have to eat one meal a day just to support their schooling. Maria and her siblings finished school and got college education. Jel on the other  hand didn't even finished high school because she don't like going to school, finding it not necessary because her parents have so much money. Fifteen years later. Maria is now a successful person, not very rich but was able to marry a decent man and was able to support their kids to school and living life comfortably. Jel on the other hand, married a drug addict and controlling person who works illegally. They're basically continuously watching behind their back scared being caught. They are dependent on the welfare program in the government. Her husband didn't go to school also and wasn't able to finish even elementary. Their kids often missed school also.
Education will give you more opportunities and it helps you solve problems easier because you will be able to think of many resources instead of stealing.  Here in America, there are so many opportunities to go to school. Fall Fashion

Fall is just around the corner and it's about to bring on your favorite boots, coats and scarves. I don't have enough coat actually so I'm in the mood to shop around and this Tulle Short Vintage Wool Jacket is perfect enough to be added in collection. It's All About The Kids

Today we are going to the Del Norte Fair because I want the kids to enjoy all the rides. I was able to buy three tickets for only $60 for the unlimited rides. I was able to save $30 because I bought the tickets in advance so I got 30% off the price. Exciting! Last year, I didn't buy tickets for unlimited rides because my son is only three years old but still it cost me more for just one kid alone. My thoughts are always about my kids and my husband. Now that I'm working part time, I feel like I am missing them a lot. Imagine next month is my daughter's 6th birthday. How time flies so fast. I have to order Kids Birthday Invitations because I have less than a month to invite our friends. I have to buy her birthday wish in advance before I will run out of stock. So I hope today it will be sunny so the kids will enjoy our fair escapade.

Camping

We were camping last night, just me and the kids and just in our backyard. But it was fun. We woke up with the sound of the misty rain. It was pretty cool because it was very cozy inside the tent. But we really have to do the real camping or rent a cabin in the middle of the woods and just let the kids enjoy the beauty of nature. I want then kids to experience what I have experience back home. Here in our place where we are very close to Six Rivers Forest and other camping sites, you can find many cabin with beautiful cabin furniture . When you stay there, it makes you feel so relax and it's amazing. It breaks you back in time where there's no cellphone, iPod, and other latest entertainment. In there you just have to enjoy life with it's own natural beauty. Amazing!
