Waste Recycling

Last Monday is our garbage pick up day and I saw huge piles of garbage in our neighborhood. We have three big bags of garbage. Most of it are boxes and gift wrappers. I can't imagine how much garbage are being thrown in the dump. Besides those kind of garbage we also throw leftover foods in the garbage disposal which does not really make me happy knowing that there are so many people who don't have foods this holiday. It's just that we have so much food during the holidays and we cannot just ate it all. So I was thinking, in order to be able to help our environment I am thinking of getting our own composter. I want to get an indoor kitchen composter. It helps in turning scraps of foods into fertilizer using fermentation. I think this is a perfect way of recycling. We didn't totally waste food because it saves us money from buying fertilizer.

Blessings

This day is one of my best days. When it rains, it pours. Today all the things that I prayed for last week has finally arrived. God is really good. He always provide us what we needed. I think that life is not really complicated at all. What make things complicated is when we aspire for things that we don't need. Before the year ends, I am counting my blessings. I'm so blessed. I am blessed with things that money can't buy. There are so many distractions everywhere, people who can never be happy for what you have. All I wish that I will be able to ignore them. I will not let them ruin my life. My life is good. Theirs is not.

Busy As A Bee

I can't believe how times go by so fast. I wasn't even able to give all my Christmas cards. And the holiday is almost over. But I greeted everyone in my facebook list of friends. Although I honestly think that it's different when you handed the card or mail it yourself. It's more sweet and personal. I'm just so busy. I work late last week. And it's very busy at work. I can't imagine how many people shop in one day. I was called to cashier all the time. I'm just glad that I'm already familiar with the barcode scanner because I was really hesitant to use it before. When I began to use it. I had fun scanning items already. I like being a cashier but I love being in the apparel department too. Today, we have a big sale so it will still be very bus and I'm gonna do my own shopping too.

This is from the song of Jaimee Rivera, Heal Our Land. I was in tears when I saw the videos and pictures of of the victims of Typhhon Sendong. It's awful. May God comfort the grieving hearts of my countrymen who were hit by Typhoon Sendong.

Excited

This is it. I'm finally going back to school. I got most of the paperwork squared away. I did great in my assessment tests well except the "almighty English", as always :-(.  I'm just just excited because i was able to get a grant. It helps a lot. And I'm also nervous because I'm working and for sure I will  be busy as a one armed paper hanger. But I can do this. I will do my best because this is like an opportunity of a lifetime for me. I will study hard to get good grades so I will qualify for other scholarships. Today I'm going to the school to check the available classes. My program won't start till Spring but I will try to enroll the minors. I'm going to look into book bags also because I don't think my purse can carry those heavy books.

Nerd Glasses

I'm working on a night shift and for some reason my eyes turns red when it's late already. I have a feeling that it's irritated by the light or the dust. But I know for sure that I don't have eyes problem. My eyes is just sensitive that it got irritated easily. I've been using Visine everyday but I'm sure if that will helps my eye in the long run. So one time I saw my friend's daughter wearing a nerd eyeglasses. I thought she has eye problem but no. So I ordered my own two nerd glasses today and I can't wait to get it in the mail. I hope it fits well though.
